SPICED, LEMON ROSEMARY TEA

Spiced, Lemon Rosemary Tea

  • 3 lemons

  • 3 sprigs rosemary

  • 3 small cinnamon sticks

  • 1 tsp peppercorns

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne powder

  • 2 Tbs dried ginger

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 2 quarts filtered water

  • Maple syrup or local honey to sweeten

  • Whiskey (optional)

  1. Place all ingredients in a pan except for the sewer.

  2. Bring to a boil then reduce to a low simmer and cook for about 15 minutes or so to steep the ingredients and draw out their qualities into the liquid.

  3. Remove from heat and scrip into a cup. (Or strain, though I appreciate chewing on the ginger bits.)

  4. (Optional) add a splash of whisky to turn it into a Hot Toddy!

  5. Enjoy!
