Spiced, Lemon Rosemary Tea

3 lemons

3 sprigs rosemary

3 small cinnamon sticks

1 tsp peppercorns

1/2 tsp cayenne powder

2 Tbs dried ginger

1/4 tsp sea salt

2 quarts filtered water

Maple syrup or local honey to sweeten

Whiskey (optional)

Place all ingredients in a pan except for the sewer.

Bring to a boil then reduce to a low simmer and cook for about 15 minutes or so to steep the ingredients and draw out their qualities into the liquid.

Remove from heat and scrip into a cup. (Or strain, though I appreciate chewing on the ginger bits.)

(Optional) add a splash of whisky to turn it into a Hot Toddy!
